The deadline is Tuesday June 9.
Woollahra Council is deciding the future of Lyne Park Tennis Centre on Tuesday June 9.
Please watch this Channel 7 story on LPTC.
It's a great example of why we should all be signing the petition.
At 5:15pm on Friday June 5 we received an email from Council notifying us that:
Councils Tender Evaluation Panel (Council Staff) is recommending Council awards the new Lease to "Tennis Nation".
FYI - Tennis Nation operates a chain of 11 tennis centres in the Western Suburbs and Hills District, and they have zero links with our local area: and now they want to turn LPTC into their 12th venue.

+ Our Petition Deadline is 9:00am Tuesday June 9, so please sign it now!
- It will take you less than 1 minute.
- By signing this online petition, you are potentially helping LPTC remain as a locally focused and staffed community asset as opposed to yet another franchise style venue managed and staffed by people who have no links to our area.
- You can sign within a minute; or you can refer below to get a deeper understanding of the facts first.

Vital information
+ Councillors must make a decision on the future of Lyne Park Tennis Centre without having read the Tender Submissions.
ie They are supposed to rely on information provided by the Council Staff Evaluation Panel.
+ This PDF provides a summary of the Tender, the recommendation of the Evaluation Panel, and a very clear case for why it is in the best interests of our community (therefore Council) to negotiate a new lease with us as opposed to Tennis Nation, Voyager Tennis, or any other Tennis Chain Operator.
